A day since Watching The Watcher has officially released! I couldn't be happier. I'm so excited about the launch and it still doesn't feel entirely real, after spending so much time creating it. I'm also incredibly happy to welcome any newcomers to my game! Thank you for checking out and or playing Watching The Watcher, I hope you decide to stick around for any new content! And for those who have been around since Watching The Watcher Tumblr, thank you for sticking with me all this time!

So! What's next?

Even while creating the demo, I was still drafting and planning out past the demo cut off, so I could get right back to work when I needed to. My next plan is to create an extended demo! One that is waaay more fleshed out, and is better built to signify what the actual full game will be like (not that the demo in its current state doesn't do that already, though). For now, the demo ends at a peak in tension, a scene where it's revealed that MC's past is definitely coming back to haunt them, and the character you get the most time with is Maxie! In the extended demo, I would like for the player to get a chance to equally interact with each love interest, allowing for them to be properly introduced and have their own scene! I would also like for the demo to extend to the route selection, stopping where the player/the game decides who's route the player is on. This would also allow me to add in important story progression, as well as add in the main focus plot of the entire game!

I'm not entirely sure what the timeline for this will look like at the moment, but I do plan to start doing monthly updates on the official Watching The Watcher Tumblr, and updating in the devlogs on Itchi.Io whenever significant progress is made! Eventually, things will build up to me being able to have a proper timeline of things and thus giving me an accurate date of when the extended demo should be finished!
